Amy and Joseph’s wedding at Gretna Green and Loch Lomond has to be the smallest I have captured since I started shooting as a wedding photographer many years ago.
With just five people and one dog, it’s going to be hard to break that record but you never know what the future holds. The bride was English and the groom was from the United States of America. As with many of my couples who are from abroad the lure of having the beautiful landscapes of Scotland as a backdrop is very appealing. Although the forecast wasn’t what we had hoped for, the weather could not have been better for us. I’ve often said when the weather is right in Scotland, anywhere in the world will find it hard to compare. With venues up and down the country, I’m sure you will find something to fit your needs. Seems like there is something for everyone.
We started the day down at the Famous Blacksmiths Shop where the couple exchanged vows and finished with some photography at Loch Lomond. Gretna Green is famous wedding location. Sitting close to the Scottish and English border, it’s popular with people from both countries. Loch Lomond is another popular place to get married. Walking along the beach was a great way to get some natural portraits. Most of all, the bride and groom had a fantastic day.
