Like a lot of Brig o’ Doon House Hotel wedding photographers, I was spoiled with places to shoot.
What better surroundings for Kirsty and Matthew’s wedding. Brig o’ Doon House Hotel can be found down in the heart of Ayrshire. It’s snuggled in between the Robert Burns Monument and Brig o’ Doon, a medieval bridge. The bridge was made famous by Burns’ most famous poem “Tam o’ Shanter”. The venue is spoiled for great locations to photograph, maybe too much. The gardens next to the building make it easy for a couple who don’t wish to leave their guests for too long. Consequently, it makes for some beautiful photography.
Kirsty was very well organised also, right down to her wide array of wedding shoes. Thankfully she didn’t need the use of her red and white stripped Wellington boots. Very unusual for that time of year in Scotland I may add! I was also pleased to be informed that we would have a good bit of time allocated to portraits of the couple. This is something I’m always happy to have and definitely helps with getting those memorable photographs. As a result, having happy people in a beautiful setting makes for easy work. Seems like I have found a winning formula. Most of all, the couple had a fantastic day.
I would love to shoot another wedding down there after such a great wedding. Maybe it will be yours or someone you wish to have me capture their special day. So, if you have been looking at photographers for a Brig o’ Doon House Hotel wedding, please get in touch HERE.
