It’s not everyday you’re asked to be a New York Wedding Photographer.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure to visit a lot of different places to photograph weddings. Without hesitation, I can honestly say New York City has been a highlight for me. Like many of you, I grew up listening to music, watching movies and being inspired by the many different cultures from the city. To have the opportunity to witness the sights, sounds and smells in person was a dream come true. Understandably I was over the moon when Michelle and Eddie kindly asked me to capture their fun and relaxed wedding.
Things started off at the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel, then onto Central Park and finishing with a boat trip around Manhattan. The weather was beautiful during the day and in the evening, it rained which made us feel that we brought a bit of Scotland over to NYC. Seeing Michelle walk through the streets with her white wedding dress had just about everyone passing on their compliments. I’m so glad the guys opted to bring their kilts over for the day. It’s almost like wearing a kilt is guaranteed fun. It certainly had an effect on the natives, smiles and double takes everywhere we went.
It has taken me quite a while to post this wedding on my blog but I’m glad that I did. It’s been wonderful looking through the photographs again and re-living such a special time. I can’t thank both Michelle and Eddie enough for the experience of a lifetime.
